Workshops and courses

I am pleased to offer fantastic online nutrition workshops and courses on a range of useful topics, all of which will improve your relationship with food.

With masters degrees in both Nutrition and Psychology, the mother of four children, a wealth of client experience (believe me, I’ve seen it all before) and loving my food and drink, I am in the perfect position to help you get to grips with your sugar cravings, your weight, your picky children, your menopause or all of the above!

Pre-planned dates and topics are listed below. Recordings will be available for those that cannot attend live. Please take a look at the ‘Testimonials’ tab at the top of my website to read feedback about these courses.

A Fresh and Realistic Approach to Fat Loss

The next course will commence in April 2024, weekly, on Friday lunchtimes. Price to be confirmed. Please contact me to be added to the waitlist for more information.

Have you tried every diet under the sun and always put the weight back on? Have you spent the majority of your life restricting foods and feeling guilty when you eat ‘naughty’ foods?

First and foremost, nothing need be off the menu, even when trying to lose weight. All food has a place in a healthy diet. And what’s more, your lifestyle doesn’t need to be ‘perfect’ either.

The key to weight loss is to make small, consistent changes to your habits. These must be realistic and enjoyable, so you can carry through these changes for the rest of your life.

The course will comprise 14 informal, one hour sessions in which we will discuss themes relating to weight management and the psychology of eating.

Attendees will also have access to a closed Facebook group to share support and tips from other attendees, plus the opportunity to ask me questions whenever you need to.

We will practise various psychological behaviour change techniques to help you gradually shift your habits to achieve your weight loss goals and maintain your healthy weight long term.

How to Step Off the Sugar Rollercoaster

Does your 'sweet tooth' taunt you every day? Once you start eating sugar do you find it hard to stop? Then do you feel guilty and wish you hadn’t? And then do you eat more sugar? And repeat, repeat, repeat? This is what I call the "Sugar Rollercoaster" and I can help you step off it, using a wealth of realistic and practical tips that have already worked for many of my clients (see the ’Testimonials’ tab above). Booking will open approximately two weeks before the event.

Nutrition and the Menopause: from Hot Flushes to Heart Health

Two session course: Thursday 21st March 2024 and Thursday 18th April 2024, 7pm - 8pm online

Tickets £40 or £30 for newsletter subscribers

These linked workshops highlight nutritional considerations around menopause. What women often don't realise is that falling oestrogen levels not only create physical symptoms, but they also affect important aspects of your health. It's never too late to lower the risk of future health issues, you just need to know what to watch out for. Nutrition may also be useful to lessen some of the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause such as weight gain, fatigue and anxiety.

Booking will open approximately two weeks before the event. Please contact me to be added to the waiting list.

Feeding Picky Kids

Dates and cost to be confirmed.

Are mealtimes with your child highly stressful? Do you worry they aren’t getting the required nutrients? Do you live in fear that your food will be rejected, so play it safe by making only beige food that you know they will eat?

I am so interested in picky eating that I made it the subject of my masters dissertation. I also have plenty of real-life experience to share from raising my own family and techniques I have used successfully with 1:1 with picky clients. I’ll use these experiences to help you devise clear and consistent strategies to help your child enjoy a variety of different foods.

There will be three sessions on different topics relating to improving picky eating behaviour. Also, you’ll benefit from access to a closed Facebook group where I will be on hand to answer questions and you can share experiences with other attendees, a hugely important aspect of tackling these issues in a group setting.
